Sokul Automation’s Material Fulfillment System (MFS) is an end-to-end solution that systematizes the material delivery process on the factory floor in manufacturing environments. Ensuring that material is delivered to the right place on time reduces factory line stoppages and improves product quality.
Manufacturing plants that produce multiple variants of complex products (e.g., automobiles) need continual resupply. Parts delivered to the wrong place, parts misidentified for the wrong usage, and defective parts can each result in line stoppages or product defects. Existing manufacturing fulfillment flows are manual and do not provide real-time tracking of material. Our Manufacturing Fulfillment System integrates into Kanban oriented pull production lines to coordinate smart robots that deliver and track material to the right destination and ensure production stations are continually stocked.
Automation provides the primary driver of improvements to manufacturing, yet robotics has been primarily focused on assembly operations while manufacturing fulfillment is still manual. Sokul's MFS system provides tangible benefits to manufacturers, including reliable on-time delivery of material to the line, full visibility of material in transit, safe movement of heavy loads, and easy integration into the factory without touching MRP, MES, or MFS systems. These benefits translate into cost savings, increased productivity, and improved product quality.
Manufacturing Fulfillment System implements pull based (Kanban like) processes that include people and systems to initiate and track material transfers from loading docks to delivery of finished goods. The MFS enables real-time tracking and status of material throughout customer operations.
Sokul Automation's fleet of robots work together to pickup, track and deliver material from the warehouse to the assembly line. Our system lowers costs by separating bin transport from bin manipulation using two types of robots. Our simple Transport Robots (TRs) move bins within a warehouse or factory. Our Bin Manipulation Robots (BMRs) move bins between shelves and TRs. BMRs are always focused on getting or putting the next bin while the pool of TRs do the time intensive work of transportation. A large pool of TRs serve a small set of BMRs to cost-effectively achieve very high system throughput. The Kanbanbot (KBB), our third robot is specifically designed to carry heavy loads so that strenuous and dangerous manual labor is not required. If your factory already leverages carts, our KBB automatically connects to industry standard carts for moving heavy loads in automotive plants.
Sokul robots are built on a scalable, low-cost platform that can be easily customized by Sokul or the customer to address material movement challenges from small loads to heavy dangerous loads in complex environments where people, tuggers, forklifts and other equipment operate.
